Monterosso Al Mare: part 1

Monterosso was amazing!  So great to stay in one place for 4 nights.  We can't believe we have only been gone a week!  Here is the first part of Monterosso.  We post more tonight.  We are in Florence today.  Absolutely beautiful...but very hot.

FYI Monterosso was devastated by floods in 2011.  It's amazing how well everything is now put back together.  We saw no signs of it besides pictures everywhere remembering it.  They got a years worth of rain 36 hrs.

Our first of MANY anchovies-- local specialty-- I had never had them before but loved them.  Probably won't ever get them again though because they won't be as fresh.  I preferred the lemon marinated ones.
Looking at Old Town with the bocce court in the front.  There were a group of men playing earlier.
First dinner-- swordfish and Trofie al pesto-- another local specialty
