Budapest

Bryan and I have fallen in love with Budapest!  Just a great city all around.  Everyone speaks English which has been good since we know very little Hungarian.  The overall atmosphere is really neat -- there is a great mix of old and new.

The view from our hotel room of the Buda side
View from the other side of the hotel on the Pest side
We were starving after the train -- found this food just a block from the hotel in Vorosmarty Square
Giant sausages
Num!

Time to eat something different -- salad sampler and ramen --  tasted so good!
Ruin Bar!!! -- Szimpla Bar -- ruin bars are a big thing here --  basically old abandoned buildings (usually communist govt housing) turned into bars
These pictures do not give this bar justice -- so many hidden rooms and weird objects

Enjoying some beers
Our chairs at the bar :-)
Don't worry -- the dryers moved so we didn't sit like that all night

Inside the bath house -- I didn't bring my phone with me but we dipped in several thermal pools and used the sauna-- very relaxing
Needed a snack after all of the baths! -- gyro, sausage and langos (fried bread with cheese, sour cream and garlic juice)

Beer in Vorosmarty Square

More pictures to come after tonight but I wanted to get these posted...
